Paul K. Hare has been preaching for 40 years, beginning in the summer of 1962 at the age of 15. His first credentials were my "Exhorters" license at the age of 19 with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. He became a "Licensed Minister" in 1971. He was Ordained by the Church of God in July of 1975 at the age of 28.
After being Married in 1967, He and his Wife evangelized in Virginia and North Carolina for 5 years. He served as a State Evangelist in Virginia and later Iowa.
Beginning in 1972 he pastored in Montana and Iowa. In 1987 he became the pastor of the Bloomington West Church of God in Bloomington, Illinois. He began with 8 people in attendance and the congregation grew to between 60 and 70 in attendance.
In 1978 he had the privilege to travel to England, twice, where he and his wife ministered and conducted a Revival in the Church of God Servicemen's Center, as well as having the opportunity to preach in all the Base Chapels of all the American Air Force Bases.
In 1992 the Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in the Indiana District, Reverend Charles Crank, asked he and his wife to pray about taking the Southwest Assembly of God Church in Fort Wayne. After much prayer, they felt it was God's Will for them to become their Pastor. They pastored the Southwest Assembly from July 1992 to December of 1994. The Church made good progress under their leadership from approximately 20 in attendance to approximately 60 plus. Financially the church went from being unable to support a Pastor to an annual salary of $24,600.00. General Fund averaged $4,000.00 per month. Missions Giving averaged $340.00 per month.
The First Assembly of God in Rensselaer, Indiana called them to candidate in November of 1994. He was selected as Pastor. The church made good progress. Their mortgage of $37,000.00 was paid off in 1.5 years. The church averaged 120 to 150 in attendance. The General Fund averaged $10,000.00 per month and the Missions Giving averaged $15,000.00 per year. He was privileged to attend the Revival in Pensacola, Florida while pastoring at Rensselaer. A Spirit of Revival broke out during this time. Their Youth Group as well as the Adults were hungry for Revival. In just a few week's time, they saw over 20 people receive salvation and many filled with the Holy Ghost.
After leaving Rensselaer as pastor he evangelized and substitute pastored several churches by the request of the Superintendent, until permanent pastors we selected for these churches.
In December of 2000 his wife's Dad passed away. They moved to Pulaski in order to be with her mother. He preached revivals and weekend meetings for the first year. He preached several times at the Midway Church of God of Prophecy. He had also preached several revivals for the Midway Church in the past several years.
After Brother Mooney passed away, the congregation asked if he would consider pastoring the church. Brother Brisson met with him and his wife and later he appointed him as pastor of the church beginning January 1, 2002. He was Ordained as a Bishop at the last General assembly of the Church of God of Prophecy in Louisville, Kentucky.
Their Hearts are Revival and winning lost souls in these last days of the Harvest.
Spiritual Experience
He has been a Pentecostal all of his life. His mother was saved as a young person in the Assembly of God in Clinton, Iowa. She was a member of the Assemblies until he was around 13 years of age. When he was 14 years of age, she began attending the Church of God - Cleveland, Tennessee. He was saved at the age of 13 and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at Youth Camp at the age of 15. He was called to preach a short time later.
Like Samuel of old, he was awakened in the night, hearing the voice of God calling him to preach His Word. He surrendered to that call and began preaching. He preached whenever he was given an opportunity in his local church, the Rescue Mission in Billings and in other churches. He preached for four years before receiving his first license.
He has seen many souls saved and filled with the Holy Ghost during his 40 years of ministry. He has had a greater hunger for God and Revival in these last days than he has ever had before. God is moving and he wants to be in the "River" of God's Revival today.
